Team Communication: Team Snap is used for all team communication.  Please email Coach Melander to be added at pweralpinehc@gmail.com

Season Start: Nov 11, 2024 in dryland until Afton Alps is open to ski teams.  These practices are Monday-Thursday between the hours of 4p-6p at a TBD location.  

On the hill training usually starts after Thanksgiving at Afton Alps.  OTH practice is Monday - Thursday 4p-6p.

Races: There are 5 conference races typically on Tuesdays and occasionally on Thursday's starting in January.  We co-host the Afton Invite which is all day FRIDAY, January 31, 2025.  February 5, 2025 is Sections at Wild Mtn and February 11, 2025 is State at Giants Ridge.

Lift Tickets: Lift tickets or passes are needed and purchased by the athletes family for Afton Alps see their website for details.  Away meets, Sections and State lifts tickets are covered by the district.

Ability:  No prior race experience is needed to join the team, but you do need to know how to ski.  The hills we practice and/or compete on at Afton are Hills 1, 2 & 7.

Transportation:  There will be no transportation provided for any practices or meets due to the shortage in bus drivers.  Carpooling is recommended and arranged by families.  

Equipment: Athlete needs to provide their own skis, poles, boots, helmet and other safety equipment is optional.  

The 2024-2025 new athlete informational meeting will be Oct 14, 2024 @ 7pm at Park High School Lecture Hall.
